The Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) has officially launched the first-ever booklet of rules and regulations governing the ludo game for both single and double dice formats. After four countries — South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, and Uganda — were selected to host the launch, Uganda held its ceremony on 2nd November 2025 at Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District. The event was presided over by Mr. Kalule Hussein, the President of both the Uganda Ludo Federation and the Africa Ludo Federation

In his remarks, Mr. Kalule Hussein urged all ludo stakeholders across Africa to adopt and follow the new rule book, emphasizing that understanding and adhering to the official regulations is essential for the growth and professionalism of the sport. He reminded officials, coaches, referees, judges, and players that true excellence in ludo comes through mastery of the game’s rules.

During the ceremony, ten referees/judges who successfully qualified for the African Grade B level were awarded certificates of completion. The recipients included:

In addition, Mr. Kalule Hussein officially unveiled Mr. Kamoga Tadeo as the new Patron of the Uganda Ludo Federation and announced Mr. Kyambadde Twaha as the Chairperson of the Uganda Disability Ludo Association, each appointed for a two-year term.

The Africa Ludo Federation has also confirmed the dates for the upcoming Africa Ludo Cup of Nations, which will take place from 11th to 14th December 2025 in Pretoria, South Africa. As the back-to-back defending champions, Team Uganda will aim to secure their third consecutive continental title.
