National Ludo Super League, 2020

BACKGROUND OF THE NATIONAL LUDO SUPER LEAGUE, 2020

The National Ludo Super League is an annual basis event that has been conducted for the last thirteen (13) years to date, participation has been outstanding as explained with the outstanding performers since 2006 to date as follows:

  • 2007 Kazo Central Ludo Club.
  • 2008 Kwagalana Ludo Club.
  • 2009 Natete United Ludo Club.
  • 2010 Katwe United Ludo Cub.
  • 2011 Nansana Galaxy Ludo Club.
  • 2012 Dobbi Sports Ludo Club.
  • 2013 Did not take place.
  • 2014 Mweludde Mukono Ludo Club.
  • 2015 Gerenge Entebbe Ludo Club.
  • 2016 Kwagala Ludo Club.
  • 2017 Kawanda Giants Ludo Club.
  • 2018 Nansana All stars Ludo Club.
  • 2019 Kamwokya corner Ludo Club.

The national Ludo Super League attracts a big audience and it has gradually grown from an audience 5,000 people in 2006 to an audience of 2,000,000 people in 2019 as the previous season.

This is the top league of Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) on supplement other leagues which are: the National Ludo Championship where qualifiers emerge to the National Super league in the next season to replace the relegated teams.

Then there is the first league which is league one (1) played in preliminary stages at district level whereby all the two (2) ludo clubs of ludo districts emerge from there to qualify for the national ludo championship thereafter get the qualifiers for national ludo super league.

This National Ludo Super League 2020 season which officially kick off on Sunday 1st March, 2020 with the home and away basis of playing format (as indicated on the official fixture) implying that a uniform venue shall be used; it was later suspended (called off) due to the effect of COVID 19 pandemic.
